First time filmmaker Zekarias Tibebu Mesfin talks about his autobiographical debut film “Ewir Amora Kelabi” which tells the epic story of one man’s journey as he overcomes loss, poverty and political strife, and establishes a life despite insurmountable odds.

In this episode we speak to director Akin Omotoso about his film “Vaya,” which is set in South Africa. The story is about three strangers traveling from the coastal province of KwaZulu-Natal to Johannesburg, who are bound by interlocking destinies. Akin talks about his inspiration, his technique, and on being a Pan-African filmmaker.
